OK, I'm interested, so how much does it cost?

Not surprisingly, that's the question I get asked a lot and my usual reply is that it all depends on what you need. Some people are focused purely on the price and are looking for the cheapest hypnotherapist they can find in the area. If you are looking for the cheapest hypnotherapist in the area, then I'm afraid that isn't me.

Hypnotherapy is your investment in you and it's usually better (and most cost-effective) in the long run to go with the hypnotherapist who you trust and who you feel provides the most value to you and brings the most to the process. I truly believe in helping my clients and will always attempt to over-deliver with everyone I work with.

I work on a purely private-practice basis and thus my overheads may vary depending on which particular location I'm working from so my fees will take account of this. Some treatments take longer than others and this will also be reflected in the overall cost of therapy. In any case, we will always discuss the cost of treatment and a suitable period of review before commencing any therapy.

TYPICAL SESSION FEES

A typical Standard Session lasting up to one hour is charged at £70.

The Initial Consultation is where I take detailed background information from you in order to tailor the therapy to your specific requirements and can last up to two hours. The first hour is included free of charge and the whole session is charged at the same typical Standard Session rate of £70. However, I also request a retainer of £20 at the Initial Consultation to partially cover any unforeseen future cancellations (see RETAINER below) , so the total sum required will be £90. Assuming the retainer isn't used, it will be refunded at the conclusion of therapy. Details can be found in the PAYMENT and RETAINER sections below.

Quit Smoking is a single session therapy lasting up to three hours and charged at £150. No retainer is required.

No VAT is payable on any therapy I undertake.

All printed materials and media provided by me to compliment your therapy are included in the session price and thus are free of charge. 

I am aware that hypnotherapy, like many other private treatments, is not cheap and that budgets can be tight. I wouldn't wish anyone to miss out on my help and will always try to be sympathetic to financial constraints. I will never prolong treatment unnecessarily and I will always try to accommodate you whenever possible.

PAYMENT

Payment can be made by card, cash, cheque or Bank Transfer (BACS). A deposit of 50% of the Initial Consultation or Quit Smoking Session fee will be due at the time of booking by BACS or cheque. Confirmation of your booking will only be made once the deposit has been received. The balance or payment for subsequent sessions will be due at the beginning of the session prior to any therapy. Unfortunately, if this is not possible at this point, then no therapy can be undertaken, and the session will be curtailed. However, you will still be liable for the full cost of that session.

RETAINER

Please note that due to appointment availability, demand for my services and last-minute cancellations or no-shows (meaning I'm unable to offer appointments to others), I charge a retainer of £20 for your treatment. This is to cover any potential future cancellations etc. and is payable at the Initial Consultation (excluding the Quit Smoking session). It is held until the final session, which is decided by you, the client. Assuming the retainer has not previously been forfeited, it will be deducted from the cost of your final therapy session provided that more than one session has been agreed and attended. Should you have cause to cancel your appointment at short notice, then the retainer will be forfeited.

CANCELLATIONS

If a session is booked but not attended without having given sufficient notice, then the retainer will be used to meet the partial cost of that session. The notice for being unable to attend is a minimum of 48 hours. If you fail to show up for the session at all without giving notice, then you will also lose your retainer and be charged the full cost to cover the loss of that session. If you book the Initial Consultation and fail to attend without notice, you will be invoiced for the full cost of that session.
